The production methods of alloy tees include casting, rolling, and stamping die methods. Casting method is to use a forging machine to punch and stretch the top or part of the pipeline, reducing the diameter to form a jointed bend pipe; The rolling method is applicable to the processing of the inner circular edge of thick walled pipes; The stamping die method is to use a smooth core in a punch press to increase the tube end to the specified specifications and shape.


The materials for alloy tees include various alloy steels, such as 12Cr1MoG, 15CrMoG, P91, etc. These alloy tees have the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance, with a smooth and flat surface, beautiful appearance, and strong texture performance. ‌

For example, ordinary bronze alloy tees are more common in water pipes, but with the improvement of living standards, many water pipes have switched to stainless steel elbows. Manganese steel alloy tees are commonly used in pipelines with severe wear and tear, such as concrete and mud pipelines, due to their excellent performance in withstanding impact, compression, and material wear. The three general rules for alloys made of nickel steel are usually used in pipelines transporting high concentration oxidizing acids (such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid) at room temperature, but they will be severely corroded in pipelines transporting reducing acids (such as hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, etc.) unless the concentration of hydrochloric acid is very low. Martensitic alloy tees have high high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and water vapor corrosion resistance below 650 ℃, but poor weldability, so they are often used in high-temperature water vapor transmission pipelines and water gas pipelines. ‌


In addition, the wear-resistant tee uses a special composite modifier to refine the grain size and is lined with high chromium nickel alloy, which has good wear resistance, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics. It is suitable for pipelines with high pressure, high concentration and long-distance transportation.

The size of alloy tees is mainly divided into two types: equal diameter tees and reduced diameter tees. ‌


The connecting ends of equal diameter tees are of the same size, meaning that the diameter of the main and branch pipes is the same. This type of three-way pipe fitting is more common in home decoration because its main and branch pipes have the same diameter, providing an equal diameter connection method. ‌


The three principles of reducing diameter have different size specifications, characterized by the same size of the main pipe connecting pipe, while the size of the branch pipe connecting pipe is smaller than that of the main pipe connecting pipe. This type of three-way pipe fitting is suitable for situations that require connections of different diameters, where the diameter of the branch pipe is usually smaller than that of the main pipe, providing a variable diameter connection method. ‌

(3) Martensitic alloy tees have high high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and water vapor corrosion resistance below 650 ℃, and are therefore commonly used in high-temperature water vapor transmission pipelines, water gas pipelines, etc. ‌

(4) GH4033 tee is a special alloy material that is widely used in petrochemical, aerospace, energy, and other industries such as marine engineering, metallurgy, food processing, etc. due to its excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature strength, and oxidation resistance.
