Socket welding tee is a kind of pipe fitting used to connect three directions of fluid transmission paths in the pipeline system. Its characteristic is that one end is designed with a large diameter socket, which can be inserted into the matching main pipeline for welding, while the other two ends have outer diameters suitable for branch pipelines.
Material:
The materials of socket welding tees include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, super duplex steel, nickel-based alloy, etc.
Dimensions
The size range of socket weld tee is 1/8″~4″ (DN6~DN100).
Description
Socket welding tee is a kind of pipe fitting used to connect three directions of fluid transmission paths in the pipeline system. Its characteristic is that one end is designed with a large diameter socket, which can be inserted into the matching main pipeline for welding, while the other two ends have outer diameters suitable for branch pipelines.
Material
The materials of socket welding tees include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, super duplex steel, nickel-based alloys, etc. The choice of these materials depends on the specific application requirements and working environment conditions. As a high-pressure three-way pipe connection fitting, socket welding tees are manufactured with various materials and specifications to meet the needs of different industries and fields. For example, carbon steel is often used in general industrial piping systems due to its good plasticity and strength; stainless steel is often used in occasions that need to resist corrosive media due to its corrosion resistance; alloy steel combines the advantages of carbon steel and stainless steel and has higher strength and corrosion resistance; super duplex steel and nickel-based alloys are suitable for more harsh environmental conditions, such as high temperature, high pressure or highly corrosive media.
Specifications and Dimensions
The specifications and models of socket welding tees include DN6, DN8, DN10, DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, and DN100. These specifications and models are defined according to common standards such as GB/T14383-93, GB/T14383-2008, ASME B16.11, SH3410, HG/T21634, etc.
Usage Instructions
The method of using the socket welding tee mainly includes the following steps:
1. Prepare tools and materials: First, you need to prepare a welding gun and welding rod. The temperature of the welding gun needs to be heated to 230 degrees for easy welding.
2. Welding operation: Hold the welding gun tightly with your left hand, and slowly transport the welding rod to the socket tee connection with your right hand. After the welding rod is close, the welding gun slowly moves upward to ensure uniform welding.
3. Complete welding: After the welding rod is shaped, keep it for 10 seconds to make the welding completely firm.
This process is suitable for the connection of socket-type PPH pipes, ensuring the firmness and sealing of the connection. As a high-pressure tee pipe connection fitting, the use of the socket tee not only requires understanding its pressure level and performance characteristics, but also requires attention to the selection of the size of the pipe to ensure its application in different fields, such as petrochemical, medical and health, electric power, military industry, fire protection, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear power, environmental protection and other departments and fields that require high pressure and fine size. It can be used safely and effectively.

How to choose stainless steel elbow fittings?
First, determine the material flowing through the pipe. If the pressure in a general water plant pipeline is low, a straight seam elbow is more cost-effective. Straight seam elbows are made by pushing straight seam steel pipe. For high-temperature applications, seamless elbows are essential for better pressure resistance. If the pipe is used in chemical or corrosive equipment, stainless steel or alloy materials should be selected.
