‌45° Socket Weld Elbow

‌45° Socket Weld Elbow‌ is a connector used in piping systems, mainly used to change the direction of the pipe. It is a special elbow with an angle of 45 degrees and is connected to the pipe by socket welding.

‌The materials of 45° socket weld elbow include stainless steel and carbon steel.

Dimensions

The size of a 45° socket weld elbow involves several dimensions, including nominal diameter, end outside diameter, center-to-face dimension, center-to-center dimension, and back-to-face dimension.

Description

45° socket welding elbow is a high-pressure elbow pipe connection fitting, mainly used to connect two pipes with the same or different nominal diameters to make the pipeline turn 45°. ‌ This elbow is usually formed by round steel or steel ingot die-forged blanks, and then machined on a lathe. It is a high-pressure elbow pipe connection fitting. It is a type of forged socket series pipe fittings, mainly used in petrochemical, medical and health, electric power, aerospace, military industry, fire protection, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear power and environmental protection, which require high pressure and dimensional precision.

Material

The material of 45° socket weld elbow mainly includes 304 stainless steel. ‌

The product material of 45° socket weld stainless steel pipe fittings is mainly 304 stainless steel, which is a common type of stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, ductility and toughness, suitable for a variety of environments and application scenarios. 304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, especially strong resistance to corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. In addition, it has good ductility and is easy to process into pipe joints of various shapes. It also has good toughness, that is, it is soft and not easy to break, and has high impact and vibration resistance. These characteristics make 304 stainless steel an ideal choice for making 45° socket weld elbows‌.

Specifications and Dimensions

The specifications of 45° socket weld elbows include DN6, DN8, DN10, DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, and DN100. These specifications cover a range of sizes from small to large, meeting the needs of different application scenarios. The commonly used specifications for ordering are DN15 to DN50, which are widely used in the fields of petrochemical, medicine and health, electric power, aerospace, military industry, fire protection, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, nuclear power, and environmental protection. They are mainly suitable for departments and fields that require high pressure and precise dimensions.

Usage Instructions

The use of 45° socket welding elbow mainly includes the following steps:

‌1. Prepare tools and materials‌: Make sure there is an appropriate hot melt machine, turn on the power, wait for it to reach the working temperature, prepare the required length of pipe, and make sure the end face of the pipe is perpendicular to the pipe axis.

2. Clean the pipe and fittings‌: After cutting the pipe, remove the burrs and burrs on the end face to ensure that the connection end face is clean, dry and oil-free. You can use a dry cloth or acetone for cleaning.

‌3. Measure and mark‌: Use a caliper to measure and mark the socket position at the insertion end of the pipe to ensure accurate docking.

4. Heating and connecting‌: Guide the insertion end of the pipe into the heating sleeve, and push the pipe fitting onto the heating head to the specified mark. After heating for the specified time, remove the pipe and fitting from the heating head and insert them evenly in a straight line to the marked position.

5. Check and complete‌: After completing the connection, check whether the connection is tight and seamless, and insert them evenly in a straight line without rotation to ensure a firm connection.
