The main difference between stainless steel and carbon steel is that, apart from carbon content, it does not contain any other alloying elements. Carbon steel typically lacks corrosion resistance and is less hard than pure iron; of course, its carbon content is also subject to certain controls. Stainless steelis diverse, referring to stainless steel alloys with a carbon content greater than or equal to 13%.
