1. Understand the corrosive characteristics of the medium

- Surface treatment methods include sandblasting, pickling, etc. to remove scale and impurities on the surface of the pipe fittings, thereby improving the adhesion of the coating.
- Protective coatings can include materials such as paint, epoxy resin and polyethylene, which effectively isolate the medium from the surface of the pipe fittings and slow down the corrosion process.
4. Consider the use of lining materials
- For extremely corrosive media, consider using lining materials inside carbon steel fittings. Common lining materials include rubber, plastic and ceramic, which have good corrosion resistance and can effectively protect fittings from medium erosion.
5. Conduct corrosion testing and evaluation
- Before determining the material of the pipe fittings, corrosion tests can be conducted to immerse the candidate materials in simulated media, observe their corrosion behavior and evaluate their corrosion resistance.
- According to the test results, the material selection is adjusted and optimized to ensure that the selected materials meet the corrosion resistance requirements of the actual operating conditions.
