Characteristics of Reducers

Reducers possess unique structural features that differentiate them from straight pipes:

1.Thin Shell Structure: Most reducers have a thin-shell design.

2.Non-Axisymmetric Structure: Except for concentric reducers, their structure is not axisymmetric and does not conform to a rotating shell.

3.Structural Changes: Even when connected to straight pipes of equal diameter and wall thickness, structural changes occur at the transition point.

4.Uneven Wall Thickness: Manufacturing limitations often result in uneven wall thicknesses and non-circular cross-sections.

5.Deformation Risks: Under bending moments, reducers are prone to significant deformation. Eccentric reducers and elbows may experience cross-section warping due to torque.
