Stainless steel flange connection is to fix two pipes, pipe fittings or equipment on a flange plate respectively, add a gasket between the two flange plates, and fasten them together with bolts to complete the connection. Some pipe fittings and equipment already have flange plates, which also belong to flange connection. Stainless steel flanges include threaded flanges and welded flanges. It is a disc-shaped part, which is most common in pipeline engineering. Flanges are used in pairs. In pipeline engineering, flanges are mainly used for pipeline connection. In the pipelines that need to be connected, various flange plates are installed. Low-pressure pipelines can use threaded flanges, and welded flanges are used for pressures above 4 kilograms. Low-pressure small-diameter has threaded flanges, and high-pressure and low-pressure large-diameter both use welded flanges. The thickness of flange plates of different pressures and the diameter and number of connecting bolts are different. Stainless steel flanges will not produce corrosion, pitting, rust or wear, and are one of the strongest materials among metal materials used in construction. Because stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, it can enable structural components to permanently maintain the integrity of engineering design.

It should be neatly stored in a ventilated and dry place indoors. Stacking or outdoor storage is strictly prohibited. When using flanged ball valves, stop valves, and gate valves, they should only be fully opened or fully closed. They are not allowed to be used to adjust the flow rate to avoid erosion of the sealing surface and accelerated wear. Flanges are easy to obtain materials, simple to manufacture, low cost, and widely used; but they have poor rigidity, so they should not be used in chemical process piping systems with supply and demand, flammable, explosive, and high vacuum requirements, and in highly and extremely hazardous occasions. The sealing surface types are flat and raised. The flange has a simple structure, small size, and light weight; it is tight and reliable. At present, the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely made of plastic, which has good sealing performance and has been widely used in vacuum systems; it is easy to maintain, the ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, which is relatively convenient to disassemble and replace; when fully opened or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium.
