ASME/ANSI B16.9 "Factory-Made Wrought Butt-Welding Fittings"
The most widely used international standard for butt-welding pipe fittings, covering elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and more.
ASME B16.11 "Forged Fittings, Socket-Welding and Threaded"
Mainly for small-diameter, stainless steel socket-welding and threaded elbows.
MSS SP-43
Specially for lightweight stainless steel butt-welding fittings (commonly used for low-pressure, thin-walled stainless steel pipe).
3. European Standards
EN 10253-4 "Butt-welding Pipe Fittings – Stainless Steels"
Applies to stainless steel butt-welding elbows, commonly used in EU countries.
DIN 2605
German standard that specifies the types and sizes of steel elbows. IV. Common Elbow Angle and Radius Standards
Angles: 45°, 90°, and 180° (common), with custom angles such as 30° and 60° available.
Bending Radius:
Short Radius (SR): Radius R = 1D (pipe diameter).
Long Radius (LR): Radius R = 1.5D (common).
Radiuses of 2.5D or larger may be used in special projects.
