To determine the pipe elbow, you need to know the diameter, bending radius, and angle of the pipe elbow. Some even have straight pipe sections. According to the angle, the most commonly used ones are 45°, 90°, and 180°. In addition, according to the needs of the project, other non-normal angle pipe elbows such as 60° are also included. To determine the angle of the pipe elbow, you need to use tools to measure. Currently, only 180°, 90°, and 45° can be seen.
Pipe elbow size calculation formula:
1. The center height of the elbow is 1.5 times = diameter * 1.524, which is actually diameter * multiple. Round the number after the decimal point of the result to an integer. For example, the diameter of 219 is 200, then the center height is 200*1.524=304.8, which is taken as 305; for example: the diameter of 114 is 100, and the center height is 100*1.524=152.4, so take 152.
The calculation algorithm for the curvature radius of DN100 and above pipe elbows is convenient and fast.
2. Punch height = center height + elbow radius. For example, for a diameter of 219, the punch height of an elbow with a diameter of 1.5 times the diameter is 305+219/2=305+109.5=414.5
3. The length of the outer arc = (center height + radius) * 3.14*2/360*degrees, that is, (punch height) * 3.14*2/360*degrees. From this, the outer arc length of the 90-degree pipe elbow can be calculated = punch height * 3.14/2
4. The length of the inner arc = (center height radius) * 3.14*2/360*degrees
5. The cutting length of the pipe elbow = elbow center height * 3.14/2 * pipe elbow outer diameter / pipe diameter + (pipe wall thickness * 3) + machining allowance. If you use a 180 * 8 pipe to cut and push a 273 elbow, you can use the above formula to calculate:
Cutting length = 381 * 1.57 * 273/180+24=931.22mm+machining allowance.
