The raw material for seamless carbon steel elbows is seamless steel pipe. The main production process involves heating and piercing a round tube billet, then rolling it using three-roll cross rolling, continuous rolling, or extrusion to set (or reduce) the outer diameter of the pipe. After cooling, it is straightened. It undergoes direct hydrostatic testing (or flaw detection), is marked, and then stored. Schxx represents the wall thickness grade; 180e (S) indicates a short-radius 180° carbon steel elbow, and 180e (L) indicates a long-radius 180° elbow; 90E (S) indicates a short-radius 90° carbon steel elbow, and 90e (L) indicates a long-radius 90° elbow; 45E (L) indicates a long-radius 45° elbow, and 45E (S) indicates a short-radius 45° elbow.
The principle for determining the heating temperature of carbon steel elbows is: the austenitizing temperature of the material must be higher than this temperature, and the principal compressive stress on the inner wall of the elbow must be less than the yield strength of the material at this temperature. The higher the austenitizing temperature and heating temperature, the higher the yield strength and heating temperature, and the greater the advantages of seamless steel pipes.

Seamless elbow materials have extremely low thermal conductivity, providing excellent thermal insulation performance compared to other insulation materials, which is well-known. 4. It should also be noted that stamped elbows have a very long service life, reportedly exceeding 50 years. Due to their rated temperature and pressure, they not only effectively resist radiation and ultraviolet rays, but the product also never fades.
