IV. Installation and Design Considerations: Design institutes and standards typically prioritize LR (Long-Distance) pipes.

Long-distance pipelines: Avoid SR (Short-Distance) pipes as much as possible.

Large-diameter pipes (the large-diameter pipe fittings you've previously considered): SR significantly increases construction difficulty and stress concentration.

If SR must be used, calculate:

Pressure drop; Erosion corrosion; Support and hanger reinforcement.
